北宋中期,在福建督造贡茶的宋廷重臣蔡襄(大书法家)总结数十年来的斗茶习俗,撰写了一部茶艺史上具有划时代意义的著作《茶录》(1054年)。书中载:“茶色白,宜黑盏。建安所造者纷黑,纹如兔毫。其坯微厚,炯之久热难冷,最为要用。出他处者,或薄或色紫,皆不及也。其青白盏,斗试家自不用。”《茶录》充分肯定了建盏的功用和独秀地位。《茶录》问世后,斗茶文化推波助澜地在朝野传播,建盏中的优品成了皇族、士大夫不惜重金追寻的宝物、文坛巨匠抒发怀讴歌的极品。建窑由此进入鼎盛时期,生产规模不断扩大,并生产底足铭有“供御”、“进盏”的建盏进贡朝廷。建窑的名贵品种有兔毫、鹤鸽斑(即建窑油滴)、曜变(即毫变)。兔毫盏是建窑主打产品,它的主要特征是黑釉表面分布着雨丝般条纹状的析晶斑纹,类似兔毛胎呈铁黑色,里满釉。外施bai釉不到底,腹下部du釉垂流如泪痕。敞口,斜壁,圈足。底无釉,露出黑褐色坚质胎。盏内外壁施以黑釉,釉面析出棕褐色兔毫斑纹碗口釉呈酱色,口下渐为褐黑相间,近里心为纯黑色。釉中有丝状黑褐色兔毛般结晶,俗称“兔毫斑”。。

The rare varieties of kiln are rabbit hao, crane pigeon spot (namely kiln oil droplet), obsidian (namely mildew). Rabbit milli caldron is the main product of kiln building. Its main feature is that the black glaze surface is distributed with rain-striped crystal pattern. Similar to rabbit fur fetus, it is iron-black with full glaze. Bai glaze applied outside does not come to the end, and du glaze in the lower abdomen flows vertically like tear marks. Open, sloping wall, ringed feet. The underside is unglazed, revealing a dark brown hard tire. Black glaze was applied to the inner and outer walls of the cup, and the glaze precipitated out with brown rabbit mildew pattern on the glaze, gradually changed to brown and black under the mouth, and became pure black near the heart. The e glaze has filamentous dark brown crystal like rabbit hair, commonly known as "rabbit millspot".
